HISWA Orange Yachting Group is a HISWA Holland Marine Industry export initiative which represents Dutch yacht builders and suppliers under the slogan: Yachts Holland… Beyond Sailing.
With around 800 members, HISWA Holland Marine Industry brings together a wide range of companies from the water sports industry in the Netherlands. For consumers, the HISWA logo stands for quality and reliability. For the government, media and other organisations. HISWA advocates the interests of the Dutch marine industry.
Companies throughout the business chain of the Dutch water sports industry are members of HISWA. In all, HISWA represents 13 business sectors (including yards, marinas, charter companies, sailing schools, naval architects, yacht brokers, retailers, repair & refit services, marine equipment suppliers), who together account for 65% of the turnover in the entire industry.
Collective interests in the industry are backed by HISWA, which also supports the promotion of the water sports industry with regard to consumers. Moreover, the association offers many products and practical support to its members, ensuring that they are recognised as being particularly safe and environmentally friendly, and providing the highest quality.
A HISWA membership offers significant security for end consumers, as it implies conformity with HISWA general terms and conditions for contracting work, sales and deliveries. This is reassuring for buyers, especially because these general terms and conditions have been drawn up in consultation with the Consumers’ Association and the ANWB under the Self-Regulation Coordination Group of the Social and Economic Council.
HISWA Boat Shows
HISWA was established in 1932 as a boat show organiser. Today, HISWA Holland Marine Industry lends its name to two well-respected boat shows: the HISWA Amsterdam Boat Show (in RAI Amsterdam) and the Amsterdam in-water Boat Show (at Bataviahaven Lelystad).
