The Staveren yard was founded a century ago in the small Frisian village of Stavoren, where it started by building and repairing fishing boats and cargo vessels. It remains an ambitious family company, where the values of superior craftsmanship are still maintained. The tradition has since been expanded with a modern perspective on building steel yachts with an international allure, nowadays under the name Sturiër Yachts. No detail is overlooked and only materials of the highest quality are used. The result is a line of luxury yachts which will appeal to every skipper and crew.
The Sturiërs’ capabilities will convince any sailor. They will ensure you arrive at your chosen destination totally relaxed, without ever feeling uncertain or unsafe underway. The robust construction, seaworthy lines and excellent stability will make owners feel like true mariners and guarantee many exciting adventures.
Coastal waters and the ocean
The most important aspect of a Sturiër is seaworthiness. The stability curve and oscillation frequency have an important part to play in the design of the hull, which determines the boats’ seaworthiness and handling at sea. The sophisticated designs of the Sturiër OC, CS and DM ranges provide maximum comfort during long sea voyages, and take into account unexpectedly rough conditions.
The new Sturiër 52 DM, a long-distance traveler
The new Sturiër 52 DM (dutchman) is designed as a long-distance traveller. In order to meet the related requirements, the yacht packs maximum interior space, including two cabins, into its 50 feet. At 15 m², the owner’s cabin below the salon is of an unprecedented size for a boat of these dimensions with an open cockpit.
Thanks to its exceptionally smart construction, the yacht retains the elegant lines so characteristic of the brand. The Sturiër 52 DM features sporty lines, and its dimensions and shallow draught make it suitable for inland waterways. The yacht will also be available in a Flybridge version.
