When Willem den Ouden opened a shop selling boat equipment in 1964, he could never have envisaged that he was laying the foundations for an international company that half a century later would have fourteen offices and 170 employees worldwide.
Board any boat in the world, and you can be pretty certain that it will contain at least one of the 3,700 different articles produced by VETUS, from engines to deck fittings and from bow thrusters to bilge pumps. With fourteen own subsidiaries and a network of thousands of distributors and dealers worldwide, VETUS has grown into one of the biggest players in the market over the past fifty years.
VETUS, creators of boat systems
The VETUS range consists of quality products designed under its own direction. The company’s core activity is the development of technical marine parts. More than seventy per cent of VETUS’ product range is developed in-house by a global team of some 25 engineers.
VETUS products are offered in fourteen complete systems, including exhaust, fuel and waste water systems. In addition to the eponymous brand itself, the VETUS Group also comprises the brands Maxwell (anchoring systems) and Marex (custom-made windows). VETUS has a separate brand for trade items: V-Quipment, which consists of affordable quality products, specially selected and tested by VETUS. The company provides a three-year warranty on its products, and five years on its engines.
The full VETUS range can be found in the VETUS catalogue or on the brand-new company website. Navigating through the modern lay-out you will find information on new products, everything you would like to know about the current line-up, manuals, tutorials, frequently asked questions, a dealer locator and much more.
